Frederick Werner, MME, PE, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Norton College of Medicine has been featured in the College’s Annual Report for 2022. Professor Werner’s work was highlighted in a Profile of Research for his decades of research on the wrist including biomechanical impacts of injury and disease, and progressing surgical techniques to enhance patients’ quality of life following medical intervention.
Professor Werner’s lab has advanced clinical understanding of the wrist while providing opportunities for and eliciting contributions from medical students, orthopedic surgery residents, and hand fellows. His lab has played an important role in promoting Upstate Orthopedics’ mission to advance medical knowledge through research and outstanding education of future healthcare professionals.
