Academics and Research
Academics and research are an integral part of Upstate Orthopedics. Our practice, in conjunction with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Upstate Medical University, has trained many of the orthopedic surgeons practicing throughout Central New York today.
Each year, we compete with medical schools around the nation to attract and recruit five orthopedic residents and two fellows (hand and spine) to Syracuse to complete their training at Upstate Orthopedics (SUNY Upstate Medical University). We also recruit additional faculty each year to further our clinical, teaching, and research goals. Learn more about our academic and orthopedic research programs below.
