LPN

LPN - full time
Job Standard/Operational Needs:

Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, reviewing Meaningful Use metrics in EPIC, taking vital signs, setting up injections, removing sutures/staples, applying and changing dressings. The nurse will also assist with appointment scheduling, chart preparation, image order completion, stocking rooms, and sterilizing instruments. EMR proficiency, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, and flexibility are imperative.

Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Prior office and orthopedic experience preferred but not required.

Work day hours:
Generally M-F 830am-5pm, Evening hours as needed

LPN – OrthoNOW! Per diem (Evening hours and Saturdays)

Exciting opportunity for an energetic LPN in a fast paced orthopedic after-hours walk in program, OrthoNOW! EMR proficiency, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, and flexibility are imperative. Job Standard/Operational Needs:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Administrative Assistant

Performs secretarial duties within a subspecialty division. Responsibilities and duties including but not limited to: scheduling appointments, scheduling orthopedic surgeries and all appropriate pre-operative appointments, relaying messages, requesting refills on patient's behalf, scanning and filing in a fast paced environment, managing incoming calls, works closely with patients, physicians, residents, clinic, management and other secretarial staff to facilitate efficient communication among all parties. Utilizes knowledge of medical processes and office procedures at all times. Effectively communicates and accurately documents via Epic EHR system relaying messages to Physicians and Patient Care team. Works closely with supervisor and other secretaries in the division.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. EMR Experience preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Day hours:
Generally M-F 8:30 am-5:00 pm

RADIOLOGY

X-Ray/MRI/CT Tech

Job Standard/Operational Needs:

Performs radiology examinations according to individual technique and proper positioning of patients. Adjusts x-ray machine/scanner to produce quality radiographs and images with proper identifying data, and reviews and evaluates processed film to ensure satisfactory quality. Provides assistance to patients in transfer between radiology examination table and wheelchair / stretcher; provides appropriate patient care, as required. Communicates with patients requiring examination and procedures, and provides reassurance as necessary. Maintains awareness of and complies with Department and regulatory agencies standards, rules, regulations, and codes applicable to radiologic services. Maintains competency in caring for patients of all age groups and development stages. Maintains complete understanding of the HIS/RIS with regard to Demographics, Patient Registration, Account Registration, Order Entry, Exam Information and Tracking Patients. Performs other and related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses. Must be ARRT certified.

Work Day Hours:

Generally M-F, with varying hours. MRI hours may include weekends/evenings.

BILLING

Daily Charge Poster

Job Standard/Operational Needs:

Review daily charges including E&M, fractures, injections and radiology charges for processing. Review of medical documentation to support charges. Must be CPC and ICD10 certified. Must have strong organization skills. EMR and strong Excel preferred. Candidate must be detail oriented, self-starter and work well both independently and as a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school degree and CPC certification with two years medical billing experience with 1-2 years of medical coding experience required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Day Hours:

M-F 8:00 - 4:30

Front Desk Registration

Job Standard/Operational Needs:

Registration, check-in/out patients in surgical practice. Entering patient demographics in Epic EMR system, review of real time eligibility and scanning insurance cards and other pertinent documents. Provide direction for Kiosk use and collect payment from patients. Excellent customer service skills, self-motivated and self-starter required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years clerical support in a medical billing setting. Two years patient registration in medical practice support preferred. Experience with various health insurances required; experience with EMR preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Day Hours:

Generally M-F, with varying hours in an 8 hour workday.

CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER

Certified Athletic Trainer-Full Time

Position Responsibilities:
• Proficient in casting and splinting applications and associated procedures
• Proficient in dressing changes, associated applications and suture removal
• Consistently orders and manages casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory
• Educate patients and caregivers of specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment
• Maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies
• Fit patients and give appropriate instruction on a variety of DME
• Familiar and proficient in EPIC EMR and BREG DME Dispensing software systems
• Knowledgeable and familiar with billing and insurance procedures and is capable of anticipating doctor’s and patient’s needs while performing on a multi task level
• Assists patient care staff with rooming patients and performing vital signs as needed and available
• Facilitates patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations
• Available for Ortho Now evening coverage as needed
• Available for occasional per diem work at Bishop Grimes High School as needed

Requirements:
• Current Athletic Training Certification
• Current New York State Athletic Training Licensure
• Current CPR and AED certification

Work day hours: Generally Monday-Friday, 8 hour day
