Dr. Cox comes to Upstate Orthopedics with specialization in the treatment of shoulder and elbow injuries and conditions. Dr. Cox has clinical expertise in evaluation and surgical and non-surgical treatments of a multitude of shoulder and elbow conditions including, but not limited to, fractures, dislocations, tendinitis, osteoarthritis, osteochondritis, frozen shoulder, and rotator cuff injuries. He has extensive experience with total- and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty and is skilled in open and arthroscopic surgical techniques. He has numerous contributions to shoulder and orthopedic research including techniques in shoulder reconstruction, treatment strategies, and infection management.
Dr. Cox sees patients at the Upstate Bone & Joint Center in East Syracuse and he will serve as a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
