Job Standard/Operational Needs:
Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, reviewing Meaningful Use metrics in EPIC, taking vital signs, setting up injections, removing sutures/staples, and applying and changing dressings. The nurse will also assist with appointment scheduling, chart preparation, image order completion, stocking rooms, and sterilizing instruments. EMR proficiency, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, and flexibility are imperative.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Prior office and orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
Workday hours:
Generally, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and evening hours, as needed.
Pay: $22.81-$34.22 per hour

Job Description
Full-time position that supports a high volume orthopedic surgeon.
Performs secretarial duties under general supervision including but not limited to:
- Scheduling appointments, relaying messages, requesting refills on patient's behalf, scanning and filing in a fast paced environment.
- Works closely with patients, Physicians, Residents, clinic, management and secretarial staff to facilitate efficient communication among all parties.
- Utilizes knowledge of medical processes and office procedures at all times.
- Effectively communicates and accurately documents via Epic EHR system relaying messages to Physicians and Patient Care team.
- Works closely with supervisor and other secretaries to ensure phone and message coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. EMR experience preferred. Orthopedic secretarial experience preferred but not required.

Job Description
Upstate Orthopedics is looking for a skilled and experienced medical AR Supervisor who can effectively and aggressively pursue outstanding A/R and consistently generate revenue through professional billing practices and proper and ethical collection efforts.
Job Summary:
The AR Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision and performance monitoring of the accounts receivable staff. This position reviews staff daily plans, work queues, and dashboards to ensure proper follow-up. The AR Supervisor has a thorough understanding of medical office billing and insurance and works closely with all teams in the revenue cycle. The AR Supervisor communicates regularly with physicians regarding payor policies and requirements pertaining to timely filing and appeal rights. This position reports to the Billing Manager. Various other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education:
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses in a related field and four years of progressively responsible medical billing experience, including supervisory experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in all aspects of medical billing, insurance benefit coordination and Workers Compensation preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour. Salary is DOE.

Job Description:
Daily charge poster is responsible for reviewing office notes for documentation accuracy and charge review. Knowledge of insurance requirements for modifiers, diagnoses, and inclusivity. Daily charges include radiology, DME, office E/M, etc. Assists in answer phones and collecting patient payments. Various other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school degree and CPC certification with two years medical billing experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Work Location: In-person at Upstate Bone and Joint Center, 6620 Fly Road, East Syracuse.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.
